MAtters is comprised of two parts:
The first book holds the edited transcript of an event that took place in Summer 2009 at the Candid Café in London. This event featured three chaired panel discussions (students, educators and practitioners) engaging with issues of postgraduate design education, such as responsibilities, employability, assumptions and other pressing subjects, providing an invaluable insight into current developments.
Chairs and panel members: Patricia Austin, Nick Bell, Russell Bestley, Sophie Clements, David Cross, Tom Foley, James Goggin, Andrew Haslam, Ken Hollings, Paul Luna, Monika Parrinder, Martin Schoberer, Ben Stevenson, Teal Triggs, Brian Webb, Paul Wright
The second book showcases a selection of work and essays by the students of the Master in Communication Design course at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. Indexed by keywords, it provides the visual context for current issues and raises the new concerns of the next generation of graphic designers
