Le Piratininga est un collectif d’artistes et de design graphique, formé en 2006, dont l’activité, créative et expérimentale, est guidée par une responsabilité sociale en établissant un lien entre l’art et le milieu social, en organisant des travaux communautaires et des projets éducatifs.
Parmi leurs projets, le Projeto Lambe-lambe, débuté il y a plusieurs années, motivé au départ par la réappropriation de l’espace public, envahi par la publicité, en utilisant la traditionnelle technique du lambe-lambe.
Avec ce projet, l’artiste citoyen, dont la technique d’intervention est la xylographie, est ainsi acteur dans un échange d’expériences artistiques dont les objectifs sont :
- sauver un moyen traditionnel et populaire de production graphique, en le modernisant et en lui attribuant une autre finalité,
- élargir la visibilité de la gravure artistique
- contribuer à la discussion sur la Ville, notamment dans des endroits défavorisés, en favorisant une action restauratrice
- permettre l’accès immédiat, direct, gratuit et quotidien du public à l’art
- promouvoir l’intéraction de l’Art avec le milieu urbain (architecture, publicité, véhicules …)
- solliciter la rencontre et l’échange, au Brésil mais aussi à l’étranger.
Piratininga is a collective of artists and graphic design, formed in 2006, whose activity, creative and experimental, is guided by a social responsibility by establishing a link between art and social environment, by organizing Community work and educational projects.
Among their projects, Projeto Lambe-lambe, begun several years ago, justified at the beginning by the reappropriation of the public space, invaded by publicity, by using the traditional technique of the lambe-lambe.
With this project, the citizen artist , whose technique of intervention is xylography, is thus actor in a sharing artistic experience whose objectives are:
- to save a traditional and popular practice of graphic production, by modernizing it and by allotting another finality to him,
- to widen the visibility of artistic engraving
- to contribute to the discussion on the City, in particular in disadvantaged places, by supporting a restorer action
- to allow the immediate access, direct, free and daily of the public to art
- to promote the interaction of Art with urban environment (architecture, publicity, vehicles…)
- to request the meeting and the exchange, in Brazil but also abroad.
