Ways of Working – A MOCK UP

Ways of Working – A MOCK UP

Ways of Working is a series of publications which act as an exploratory research reader around the ethos and activities of the Escalator Visual Arts programme. The programme is centred on an ongoing series of intensive four-day themed retreats organised at Wysing Arts Centre in partnership with the Royal College of Art MA in Curating Contemporary Art. Ways of Working, published in collaboration with Publish And Be Damned and Unrealised Projects, works with participants of the retreats and expands on ideas generated from, and in relation to the Escalator programme. A MOCK UP, which takes the theme of production as a starting point, is the first in this series of publications.

Among other, a continuation of a conversation (Multiple starts is always good) between Åbäke and Gavin Wade that first appeared in Kaleidoscope Issue 12, 2011. Each front cover quote constitutes one sentence in the conversation. The conversation is dispersed cross a print run of 1,000 copies, it also appears in full at www.unrealisedprojects.org/files/multiple-starts-is-always-good.pdf
